1107570 - calendar gives multiple alarms for events with exceptions

I've been seeing this for a while (months), but it took a while for it to become clear that it was related to exceptions.

For some of my calendar events, I get a large number of alarms -- sometimes 2 or 3, sometimes as many as 20, rather than the single alarm expected.  I believe this is related to the events having exceptions.

I've been running self-built builds of master on a Flame (and restoring my data after updating).

I hand-edited my calendar file down to just contain the problematic event and the stuff it references.  (I hope I didn't mis-edit.)  But I think this should be a valid ICS file.

we had similar bugs before (Bug 1018833 and Bug 857284) but maybe there is something specific to this event that is causing the issue. Thanks for the detailed report and for providing the ICS data.
