Hover over the rect in inspector (see attached html).


Actual results:

Area where the rectangle used to be before transform was applied is highlighted.


Expected results:

Rectangle highlighted.

Attachment: Strange padding for polygon

Another example of wrong highlight is polygon with stroke. It gets some strange padding. The bigger the stroke the bigger the padding.

The first issue is probably becuase of bug 1066435.

Closing this bug since the transformed part seems be fixed already for some SVG elements, and bug 714738 will take care the rest.
