To provide the feature requested in bug #6085, which says, "GTK: Middle mouse click s'd load url in a new window", I need notifications in nsILinkHandler for a middle mouse click. Right now it supports only left button click.

You also need a way to determine which keys are down so things like cntrl, cmd, and option click can be done.

I would like to say that this is a real usability-PITA for me, because it blocks middle-mouse open in a new window. So, I for one would *really* like to see this as a beta1... is it really that hard?
akkana has some XUL in #6085 that provides the middle-click feature. Whether this is because something was done on this bug but wasnt marked, or just because he found a way to do without (the patch to XUL is quite clean), the feature that this was blocking is fix-in-hand.
