To provide the feature requested in bug #6085, which says, "GTK: Middle mouse click s'd load url in a new window", I need notifications in nsILinkHandler for a middle mouse click. Right now it supports only left button click.
Nisheeth, I think this is you
Scott Collins is working on nsILinkHandler for M9. Assigning this bug to him.
as instructed: changing all bugs that do not block M9 to M10
You also need a way to determine which keys are down so things like cntrl, cmd, and option click can be done.
Moving to M11 per today's bug triage.
Summary: Need notifications in nsILinkHandler for middle mouse click → [Webshell] Need notifications in nsILinkHandler for middle mouse click
(Mass-) Re-assigning [Webshell] bugs to travis, on the advice of dp, et al. Many of these may be invalid in the new world of the re-written webshell, but he certainly needs to be aware of these issues. Hope this helps you, travis.
Move to M13 and re-assess once basic Webshell re-design is complete.
Move to M14. Do we need this for beta 1?
I would like to say that this is a real usability-PITA for me, because it blocks middle-mouse open in a new window. So, I for one would *really* like to see this as a beta1... is it really that hard?
akkana has some XUL in #6085 that provides the middle-click feature. Whether this is because something was done on this bug but wasnt marked, or just because he found a way to do without (the patch to XUL is quite clean), the feature that this was blocking is fix-in-hand.
Move to M16 ...
Target Milestone: M14 → M16
Is this still needed?
M16 has been out for a while now, these bugs target milestones need to be updated.
This is not needed anymore.
