User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:34.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/34.0 Build ID: 20141127111021 Steps to reproduce: I want to play the HTML5 format of the video from here (third tab, the first 2 are in Flash player): http://superweb.rol.ro/video/dd7dee8f046454a57c6a44731d180ddc.html (don't mind the popups, it is "necessary Evil") Actual results: It does not work, the HTML5 video is not playing. It shows this message: No video with supported format and MIME type found Expected results: It should have shown the HTML5 movie player. It works on desktop Firefox and on Android default browser + Android Chrome.
OS: Linux → Android
Can you try Firefox Beta on Google Play? We have a new video backend in it and it might fix this for you.

Installed Firefox Beta and tested. Indeed, something is better: it sees the movie. But the movie does not play, I only see black or white. The sound plays, the subtitle works, but not the movie. I have tried it both in small screen and full screen, portrait or landscape mode. Jump to second 20 in the screen recorded clip.

Which device is this and which Android version?
Lenovo s650 with Android 4.2.2, everything else works. I do not know if it can be done, but maybe it is a good idea to get codecs from the movie players like MX Player, they work flawless.
Thanks. This device has a MediaTek chipset and we're aware of problems with it that we're working around.

Should iy be marked as solved as yesterday's nightly built on Mediatek (Lenovo s650)only shows black screen? (I've been told it should contain the fix). Should I report it separately/again? Can I help debugging? Thanks.
