Currently we can't add per category moderators.
How does this add more value when we already have a mailing list?
Brian, I think it is a good initiative at least from two view points: - visibility - not all new ( and old ones too ) mozillians in the area know about the list as we did not promote it much lately. Discourse has now a nice participation from many people. - engagement - we will share easier and we can gather opinion outside balkans in replies too ( grow activity and also have external opinions easier)
+1 to Ioana's comment plus let's not forget that mailing lists create inbox noise for people that are not interested on all the ongoing talks however discource is like a forum where people can raise a point anytime.

Some people will be on one, some the other, and some both. > - engagement - we will share easier and we can gather opinion outside > balkans in replies too ( grow activity and also have external opinions > easier) G Groups posts can be shared too. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/mozilla.community.balkans I guess these issues of having multiple channels are not unique to this group, but we should think about how and where we do posts moving forward. e.g. do we just post to one or both?

While I of course advocate discourse, this brings a wider discussion. How do we/do we want to centralise discussion? I'd suggest a discourse thread to discuss it ;)

I agree this is not an unique discussion. My only intention to support this is to get more people from balkans engaged. It will be hard to track more than one place agree, but either way we need to check more solutions to engage people in discussion/participation
