searchbox - backspace needs to be pressed twice for every hebrew charecter. UTF-16 issue?

Steps to reproduce:
1. typed hebrew word into searchbox
2. pressed backspace once
3. pressed backspace again
4. pressed backspace again
5. pressed backspace again
Actual results:
2. first backspace didn't do anything
3. second backspace erased character
4. third backspace didn't do anything
5. fifth backspace erased character
4 backspaces acted as 2
Expected results:
four characters should has been erased

Should be fixed in Firefox 35, to be released in a week - if you could test a beta build of Firefox (from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/#beta) to confirm that would be very useful.
