IndexedDB can get pretty confused if try to move your profile backward to an older Gecko version.
WebIDE could track the last used Gecko version to notice this backward movement, and possibly alert the user that things may be strange and offer a reset button that way, instead of trying to only catch errors on open, which is not enough (see bug 1117129).

WebIDE is slated for removal (bug 1314811), so there are no plans to add to the current set of features.
