when moving any other window over mozilla,
some gif images on slashdot.org won't refresh correctly
when they are visible again. they refresh almost correctly,
but with white lines (must be 1 pixel y error in refresh coords.)
it's not with all pictures though. The same picture file has this
problem in the top row but doesn't have it elsewhere on the page.
(up->down movement only, others are ok)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.goto www.slashdot.org, top of page
2.move (drag) any terminal or other window up->down over mozilla
3. watch the pictures not refreshing well just under the ad banner at
the top of the page

Actual Results: pictures refresh almost correctly, but with white horizontal lines
i can send you a screenshot if you want

Expected Results: no white lines
Component: XP Apps → Browser-General
you might work around this by setting prefs for Display resolution to 96.

yeah but that's impossible. I'd have all my drawing and image processing
apps show wrong sizes.
In Mozilla: Edit->Preferences->Fonts->Display Resolution
ok thanks. this does indeed solve the problem.
i didn't get it at first, since i didn't know this setting existed in mozilla.
i thought at first you meant the X display resolution. (silly me)
anyway: thanx
