In bug 973823 people are working on letting developers sign their apps so they can use secure elements.  There are a lot of comments on the bug, so if you're interested, read comment 49 for a great summary of the current plan.

This bug is to show the GUID we identify apps with on the developer's edit page under the Technical Details section.  This field is read-only so no need to mess with any form fields or anything - just show the value.

Marking as P1 for next week because this is a quick patch.  If there were no time constraint I'd even good-first-bug it.  Thanks!

- What should the title for the label be (when you hover the question mark icon) ?
- Should this be done for both packaged apps and hosted apps ?
- Should we display the GUID in reviewer tools as well ?

This is an internal identifier for the Firefox Marketplace.

Might as well.  Just seems more complicated to exclude it in some cases.

Not currently.  I haven't heard of any requests for it and I'm not sure what they'd use it for - the signing validation should be automatic.

The GUID is shown in the Technical Details section for both hosted and packaged apps. Also the title for the label is displayed.
