Reproducible on the latest Nightly 38.0a1(BuildID: 20150113030205) Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/38.0 Reproducible on Firefox 36 beta 1 (BuildID: 20150112201205) Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 Reproducible on the latest Aurora 37.0a2(BuildID: 20150112004004) Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:37.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/37.0 Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox. 2. Go to Google Maps (https://www.google.ro/maps/). 3. Restart Firefox. 4. Open the same page - Google Maps(https://www.google.ro/maps/). Actual results: After restart, the Cookie notification bar overlaps Search input on Google Maps. Expected results: The Cookie notification bar is correctly displayed on Google Maps, without overlapping the Search input. Note: The bug is also reproducible on: Windows 7 32bit, Windows 8.1 64bit, Ubuntu 14.04 32bit and Mac OSX 10.9.5.

To me this appears to be by design in Google maps. Do you have any reason to suspect it is a bug? Do older versions of Firefox behave differently? Do other browsers render it differently?

I suspect it is a bug because when you open first time Google Maps, everything is ok: the Cookie notification bar is correctly displayed, without overlapping the Search input. But, after restart, when you reopen the same page (Google Maps), the Cookie notification bar overlaps the Search input. This is the reason why I consider this an issue.

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the issue locally. It might be necessary to be physically located in Europe (or Romania even) to get the cookie notification bar. Still, can you check in other browsers to see if they exhibit the same behaviour? It seems very unlikely to me that this would be a gecko platform bug. If you don't see the behaviour in other browsers, can you try doing a "Save Page As" on the page the second time you load it, save it as "Web Page, Complete", zip it up, and attach it to this bug? I'm not sure if that will help me repro or not but it's worth trying. Thanks.

I verified in Chrome and the behaviour is the same as in Firefox: after restart, the Cookie notification bar overlaps Search input on Google Maps.

Sounds like it's not a bug in Firefox then.
