RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1121706

People

(Reporter: bugzilla, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/39.0.2171.95 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Upgrade to Firefox 35.

Try to search with Google by typing into the search box on the toolbar.
Try to go to www.google.com.
Try to go to plus.google.com.
Try to go to gmail.com.

I'm using Windows 8.1 Professional 64-bit, and changed everything back to Google after a previous Firefox upgrade changed it all to Yahoo.

Actual results:

Nothing happens at all. Whatever web page was already in the window remains. None of the google websites that I have tried will work.

Expected results:

I should have been taken to the appropriate google page with search results or other resources.
Please try asking your question at https://support.mozilla.org/ instead.

Firefox does not in any way block google or make it unavailable. This sounds like an issue with either your internet connection or your computer (add-ons or malware-related).

I'm sorry for my quick dismissal earlier. It seems there is an issue with Firefox 35 which matches these symptoms if you've got the following prefs disabled in about:config

security.ssl3.ecdhe_ecdsa_aes_128_gcm_sha256
security.ssl3.ecdhe_aes_128_gcm_sha256

Enable either one to work around for now. We're investigating in bug 1121706.
