It would be awesome if we could have some echo service for Loop. SO that people could find out whether the system works correctly. See the similar services for SIP accounts, Skype etc.

[21:33] <Standard8> mcepl: yeah, you either need to use diferent accounts, or generate the link on the FxOS client
[21:33] <mcepl> hmm, and echo service I couldn't get? Could I file a bug for it?
[21:38] <@Standard8> I don’t know if we’d do an echo service or not, filing a bug is a good first step though
[21:40] <~dmose> we should totally do an echo service
[21:40] <~dmose> would be invaluable for support
[21:41] <~dmose> "call the echo service, and put the call ID in this bug so we can look up the data on it"
[21:41] <~dmose> and have the echo service reflect the call-id
[21:46] <mcepl> Standard8: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1121657 ?
[21:46] <firebot> Bug 1121657 — NEW, nobody@mozilla.org — echo service?
[21:46] <mcepl> I really don't know what more to say
[21:46] <~dmose> meet in your vidyo room in 10 mins after i grab coffee?
[21:46] <dmose> mcepl: copy-paste my comments from here in the bug, if you want

You can more or less do that clicking on your link from another browser for instance. But it is a good idea to think about. I don't know how hard it would be to create a fake WebRTC stream with a recorded video and then record the other person and send it back. Could be fun.

Since the FxOS client no longer exists, on desktop I think opening the link in another browser is a sufficient way to test things out.
