Description: If you search for a folder that you have created when adding a bookmark in windows the folder will not appear in the side bar or in the Bookmark folders. However if you disconnect sync, the folder will be created. Steps to reproduce: Attach an account to a Windows machine and a mac machine 1. Add a bookmark by clicking on the star 2. click on the star again and click on the drop arrow next to the folder details 3. Click the "New Folder" in this dialogue in a windows machine 4. rename the folder 5. Look for the folder in the bookmarks side bar 6. Mac its there, windows its not Expected: new folder to appear and sync right away Acutual: Folder does not appear to be created note: I have not checked the json files for bookmarks, happy to provide if this has something to do with the existence of the non-showing folder.

If you have Firefox Sync on, and you add a bookmark, and add it to a new folder, the sync happens so fast that it doesn't give you a chance to change the name from NEW FOLDER to the folder name of your choice. Annoying to have to go back to bookmarks to rename the folder every time. I just turned off Firefox Sync and problem goes away.

Franco, that sounds like bug 697649. This is definitely a poor experience, and it's on our radar, but the fix is involved. We'll try to get to it in the coming quarter.
