AFAIK square brackets aren't allowed in the URL.
In the History, the square brackets are percent-encoded.
But when copying the URL from the locationbar, the brackets are not encoded.
IE and Chrome are percent-encoding these brackets, too.

The Address Bar "beautifies" (decodes) some chars to make the url more readable, and reverts those changes on copy.
It's honestly unclear what's the bug intent...
