When using a site like: http://labs.dinahmoe.com/plink/ Electrolysis seems to render fine if not moving the cursor around. However, as soon as you start trying to interact with the page, rendering slows down dramatically.

I'm not sure I see any problem while playing the game on 38.0a1 (2015-01-19) Win 7, e10s ON. Did you try in safe mode/new profile ?

Performance has indeed improved greatly with this last nightly. On my end, the game alternates between complete smoothness, and some moments of choppiness. I had 15 other tabs open at the time (this one included), which I carried over from my Firefox session. I'll try safe mode, but I'd rather not do a new profile if I can avoid it

I had 15 other tabs open at the time (this one included), which I carried over from my Firefox session. I've also tried safe mode. Same 15 tabs with no luck. I'll try one tab at some point and report back if it's needed.
(In reply to Kenan from comment #2) > but I'd rather not do a new profile if I can avoid it why not? you can easily switch back to the old profile http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager
I did not realise that was possible. Creating a new profile definitely seemed to address performance, even when I opened a bunch of random tabs. What is the recommended course of action here? Should I try resetting my Firefox profile to default settings and then re-sync in my profile?

Should I try resetting my > Firefox profile to default settings and then re-sync in my profile? That's the easy solution for you, but there might still be something we can do better... If you go to about:support and copy the raw data to the clipboard using the button for it, and then paste it in here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=1123152&action=enter (note the link "paste text as attachment") that might be helpful in figuring out why this is slow on your main profile but not on a new one.

As requested by :Gijs Kruitbosch.

My apologies for the slow response.
(In reply to Kenan from comment #8) > My apologies for the slow response. No worries. I looked at the info, but I don't see anything that really jumps out at me as potentially related to the choppiness, especially if it continues in safe mode (which rules out the add-ons). Dave, any ideas if I'm missing something obvious?

After some more testing, the performance issues seem to be related to my use of the FireGestures addon. Disabling it restores performance on my nightly install, and then performance degrades once I re-enable it.

Mistakenly filed against Firefox 38 and should be instead 38 Branch. Sorry for the spam. dkl
Version: Firefox 38 → 38 Branch
This does not appear to be occurring, I believe that Firegestures has since updated to be e10s compatible too. Reopen if this still occurs.
