Details

I'd like to see the ability for the Select/Delete control (say from the Gallery app) to make its way into the Music app. However, the MAIN desire for this would be the Select ability. I believe that the ability to select various items across the various scenes, combined with the ability to filter, would make for a seriously killer playlisting ability on device. Imagine being able to tap a few album art tiles of indie stuff you like on the main scene, then grab a particular album you like from Cake on the next scene, and then a few straggler songs elsewhere by Horse Feathers and then just saving it out into "MY AWESOME INDIE/FOLK PLAYLIST" right on the device. Wonderful. As a bonus, in-app management for deletion of content would be cool. It is much more clear than using a file manager app that doesn't read the metadata tags or display album art.
Dupe of bug 1093227 and bug 870122.
