User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.6) Gecko/20011120 BuildID: 2001112012 When visiting any page with a java applet, mozilla crashes abruptly as soon as it tries to load the java. Removing the java plugin allows the page to load normally. This is with the linux 0.9.6 tar.gz, and started happening several versions back. Previously the java plugin would work fine, but no longer does even in the old builds. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Installed libjavaplugin_oji.so in plugins/ 2. Started mozilla 3. Went to page with a java applet Actual Results: abrupt crash Expected Results: load and display java applet(s) Java version is: Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.1-b24) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.1-b24, mixed mode) Printed to the console is: INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Exec of "java_vm" failed: 2 < System error?:: No such file or directory Gdk-ERROR **: Fatal IO error 9 (Bad file descriptor) on X server :0.0. INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Could not read ack from browser System error?:: Resource temporarily unavailable
Dupe of 85181. Please, do not copy oji lib. Just make a symlink. Please close as dupe if this solve your problem.
