What problems would this solve? =============================== It would allow editors to keep track of their changes before saving the article. Who would use this? =================== Editors working on longer articles. What would users see? ===================== A history of draft versions of the currently edited article. What would users do? What would happen as a result? =================================================== Users would be able to jump between the different drafts to compare them. Once they finish their editing of an article by clicking on 'SAVE CHANGES', the stored drafts would be deleted. Is there anything else we should know? ====================================== To reduce the amount of stored data there could be a limit for the number of drafts and/or a time limit, after which drafts will be deleted automatically.

What needs to be considered is whether only manually stored drafts should be listed (see bug 1123616) or also auto-saved ones and whether multiple auto-saved drafts can exist or just one, which is always updated. Sebastian
