Hi Lance, I suppose the 3G signal was good in that area at that moment, right? Is that happening if you use SIM card from another telecom? Could you also check that on another android phone, thanks.

Hi Eric, I have verified this bug on Android device, but it still exsits in some Android device(LG G2, HTC M7, HTC butterfly). After we change these device network type to "WCDMA only", the device will recognise SIM card, then network signal will disappear. But after you changed, Samsung S4 will recognise the SIM card, then the signal is full.

Hi HsinYi, Could you help to check the log, I tried sim from CHT or from TWN, not reproducible, but I wonder if there is any info in the log, thank you.

Hi Eric and Lance, Have you tried "3G preferred"? How's the result and log? According to logcat_1628.txt, the card cannot register a 3G network, but it can register 2g network when user queried "2G only." I am wondering the 3g network coverage there. Also, Was the card accessible to 3g network? As this issue seemed reproducible on other devices, I tend to reasoning this is a network coverage issue.
