1125603 - Bookmarks out of order

I think this happens since Fx 35.

Bookmarks in the list lost there order. Entrys from the middle of the list suddenly appears on the top, not only one, but mostly more at the same time. This is then synced to the other devices, so the mess ist everywhere.

This happens also on different devices. It happens on device "A", and is then synced to "B", but it also can happen the other way.

Just yesterday i fixed everthing (again) on my desktop, so the correct order is then synced to the devices again.

But then just today it was the worst case ever: From my ca. 60 bookmarks ca. 25 where put to random places in the list.

This will be hard to sort out now for me.

I can not give a way to reproduce this, it happens about all 2-3 days.

I could give a screenshot, but there would be no more than a list, and I think you can imagine how that looks.

Sorry, Jan. This is a known occasional issue with Firefox Sync across devices. I'm marking this bug as part of the meta bug tracking that issue.

This is more likely to occur if either a desktop or a mobile device are on an unreliable network connection, or if they both sync at the same time. If those are unavoidable realities for you, I suggest disabling bookmark syncing.
