User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:37.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/37.0
Build ID: 20150125004007
Steps to reproduce:
Set layers.prefer-d3d9 or layers.prefer-opengl to true
Actual results:
layers.prefer-d3d9 = true:
When the Firefox window is maximized, the window buttons for minimize, maximize and close will no longer be in the foreground but become semi-transparent. In the Developer Edition (as of this bug filing FF37a2) the buttons completely disappear.
No issues while its windowed.
layers.prefer-opengl = true:
While maximized or windowed, the buttons get cut off horizontally and the tabs are being cut off as well.
Both set to true:
Identical to just layers.prefer-opengl = true
Expected results:
No issues.

Just to say layers.prefer-opengl no longer works for me as of this current Firefox Nightly 50...
No info whatsoever in about:support and seems to default to D3D11 compositing no matter what I do.
layers.prefer-d3d9 works and same issue with the windows buttons with about:support reporting correctly D3D9 compositing is being used.
Same OS and using 64bit Nightly...

Alright about:support now reports layers.prefer-opengl errors so I guess my side is good to go now...
