yahoo mail is a web based free email site. It uses frames and forms. If you
click on compose, you can write a letter. However when you click on
"send", nothing seems to happen. I have no clue on whether the request actually
gets to the server or not (I think not) but it should immeadiately go to a "your
message sent" screen. Communicator 4.76 works so it does not appear to be a
webserver problem.

or you can provide any further details on reproducing the bug with recent builds.

OK,
Now I'm using Build ID: 2001112903 and see the behavior.
But I have new info.
* Open two windows of Mozilla both pointing to yahoo mail
* write a message to yourself and click the send button in the first window
* Do not click in the first window again
* the cursor in the first window will go to hourglass and the logo/M will toggle
endlessly
* go to the second window and click on yahoo email to check for new mail
* The second window will not see the email (as apparently the first one did not
send it.
* Click repeatedly on the check mail in the second window... still nothing
NOW TO FORCE SOMETHING TO OCCUR
* Go back to the first window and click Check Mail once or twice. It will show up.
In Navigator, clicking the "send" button in the first window causes it to be
sent immediately which moves the browser to the "Your mail was sent to:" page
Note- If you were to walk away from the first window in Mozilla, eventually it
will move to the "Your mail was sent to:" page without additional clicking
around. It seems to take at least a minute.
The reason I noticed this behavior is that I like to see the verification that
the mail was sent before I move on (and potentially lose the message contents).

Doug, is this still a problem in a current build?

Yes, the problem still exists. I used Build ID: 2001101117
I am having difficulty even getting an email composition to send at all in
Mozilla on yahoo. I click the Send button, and wait, and wait. My patience
runs out in 30 seconds...
The two window procedure I described earlier doesn't seem to work anymore
to force Mozilla to send it to yahoo.
