Details

When using Firefox Hello on your desktop client, you can use it without any account : you create a conversation so it generate a link and you can give it to someone so that he connects to your room. The Loop app on Firefox OS needs the user to go through the wizard and to use or create an account for it, either Firefox account or something with your phone number. User should be able to use it without any account, as he can do it on desktop.

Right now, Firefox Hello Mobile client is restricted to registered users. That's a Product decision so adding in cc to Product Managers in case they want to add more details. Thanks!

Thanks! Maybe a NI would be more appropriated for this?

[Tracking Requested - why for this release]:
The current application tried to restrict the use cases to make it shippable so we did not bring this capability although agreed that this could be desirable for some use cases. Currently the FxOS Hello app is not being actively developed/supported so I'm marking this bug as WON'T FIX. We can re-open if the work on the Hello app starts again in the future.
