I understand what this might cause some login issues but would be good for people with ldap to save from remembering passowrds all the time
The bar to getting an LDAP account is much higher than the bar to getting a wiki account, and adding LDAP support doesn't satisfy any usecase that we aren't already satisfying. They serve very different purpose for very different audiences.

The cost-benefit ratio is way too high to even consider this.
