Closed Bug 1128292 Opened 11 years ago Closed 8 years ago

Firefox asks me daily if I want to update to 35.01. It says to restart to effect the update. I do and it won't update. It is annoying to be asked every day to update when it won't do anything.

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0 Build ID: 20150108202552 Steps to reproduce: I start the computer, begin to use the web browser, and am asked to update Firefox. Actual results: If I say ok, it asks me to restart the browser. The number in the "About" box doesn't advance from 35.0 to 35.01. The download website tells me I am using the most up-to-date version. Yet the next day I am prompted again to install the fictitious update. Expected results: The update gets installed and the app quits bugging me.
