User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0 Build ID: 20150122214805 Steps to reproduce: Quite difficult to reproduce, but sometimes quite frequent, seeming to only effect certain long pages with lots of content. Go to a such a page, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number and scroll up and down the page quite fast using the scroll wheel. Actual results: Occasionally, black rectangles of various sizes randomly appear over parts of content (see attached image) and then disappear almost immediately as you continue to scroll, but on occasion they can persist for a few seconds and then disappear. This is unique to V35. I have never seen such behavior on earlier versions. Expected results: No black rectangles. See also the following report of what appears to be the same issue: http://support.pixelentity.com/threads/12365-Black-rectangle-randomly-flashing-on-homepage-in-Firefox-v35
Added Feb 7 2014: Sometimes the black rectangles persist and do not go away until the widow loses and regains focus, as happened to me today on the w2schools.com page as shown in the graphic: http://www.zweigmedia.com/BlackBox2.png
Problem goes away by disabling graphics acceleration; likely a compatibility issue with the graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
