While trying to help investigate bug 1066531, I found that disabling my Pinterest add-on fixed all my slow tab switching e10s problems. The add-on I'm using didn't come from AMO, but it's the official Pinterest "Pin It Button" add-on (version 1.35).
This add-on will almost certainly benefit from bug 1129003. That probably won't help with laggy tab-switching though.
