Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i586; en-US; rv:0.9.4+) Gecko/20011003 BuildID: 20011103 I'll look at a page, find a link i want to look at, go to it, finish looking at it, and go back to the original page (using either Alt-R.Arrow or the back button). When i get to the original page, the page is positioned at the top instead of where i had last been viewing it (that is, the spot where the link i clicked on is). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go down a page 2.click through a link 3.press back Actual Results: page positioned at the top Expected Results: page positioned where i was last viewing
Martin, are you also seeing this with a recent nightly? Does it happen on all pages?
This is reproducable on Win2000 Build 2001122106 (0.9.7). Specifically on Slashdot and Kuro5hin, when following links in comments to subcomments, clicking on Back will take me to the previous page, but will return to the top of the page. This may be a regression of sorts, as in previous releases (0.9.5 specifically) I noticed that when browsing back a page, it would try and bring me to the link I had clicked, but it would often be off by a page of text or two.
After further investigation, this is possibly a duplicate of Bug 58785, Bug 105395, Bug 112564, etc...
58785 would be my guess. Duping *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 58785 ***
