Details

(Keywords: regression)

Steps to reproduce: 1) Open mailnews 2) Compose a new email 3) Enter a subject and body text. Leave the "to" field blank 4) Hit "send" 5) A message will popup to tell you that you need to specify recipients 6) When you hit "ok", the mailnews window will have been moved to the front and the e-mail will be behind it. Note: This does not occur when mailnews is open but a browser window is currently behind your e-mail. In this case, the e-mail stays on top, like it should.
Happens to me too. I have: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.6+) Gecko/20011202

confirming this on 2001120306 win98 build. I do not have any cache prefs turned on. This seems to be a regression. We should leave the compose window in focus.

Is this really a nsbeta1+, P2? If yes, then we need to try and targeted to a milestone M1.0 or earlier to make the beta.
Target Milestone: --- → mozilla1.0
This bug is caused by an OS problem and there is no quick fix solution for this. I am duping this on another bug 103873 which is also about the compose window being moved to the background after clicking ok on an error dialog. The other bug will be re-assigned to dan matejka. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 103873 ***
