Currently on trunk Nightly (02/12) on about:privatebrowsing we perform a jarring readjustment on device rotation in comparison to release channel builds.

This seems to only happen after first visiting a page in a regular tab. It seems like about:privatebrowsing is not using proper sizes.

  Visit http://neowin.net or mozilla.org in a regular tab
  Open a new private tab
  Rotate device

Aaron - This is happening on Release too? I was not seeing that? (Looking at affected flags)

Yes, 35 is affected. The behaviour as described can be seen when initially visiting a page first and then opening a new private tab and doing the rotation instead of simply opening a new private tab initially (and doing the same rotation).

I have installed older versions (FF 26.a1 2013-09-01) and I still see the issue. For example on Firefox 21.0a1 (2013-01-20), I grabbed a quick screenshot while rotating the device: http://i.imgur.com/n4d4cGj.png :the issue is still present, but a blank bar is displayed on rotation and then disappears.

This is not helpful. Bugzilla only tracks issues on the end of life 68.x version. Issues with current versions are tracked at https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix
