User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:35.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/35.0
Build ID: 20150122214805
Steps to reproduce:
1. Login to gmail account. the homepage will appear.
2. Now clear the address bar and keep it blank (as can be seen in the screenshot).
3. Despite of having no address in the address bar try navigating through different panes, tabs of emails within gmail. You can access anything but the address bar still remains blank.
4. Refreshing the page fixes this problem.
Actual results:
Despite of having no address in the address bar I can access all the panes and perform all the functionality normally. The address bar is empty.
Expected results:
As I navigate through the different tabs, panes or menu items the url would change and the address bar should not be empty.

The address bar display is controlled by Firefox ui, not core. I'm pretty sure that the ui keeps the user-typed value across navigation in various cases; otherwise pages would be able to prevent the user from typing anything in the address bar by just navigating.
