The bar should appear immediately, instead it is hidden and finding jumps to the wrong first result.
Dave, can you please expand on the STR here?  What I did:
* open google.com in a tab, open the find bar and search for "g" - press "next" a few times until a highlight is shown.
* drag the tab such that the tab detaches to a new window.

I see the new window open with the findbar open, the search term in the findbar, the matched text still highlighted and "find next" works as expected. The tab title is underlined both before and after the detach.

Sounds like some of the recent find bar work for e10s may have fixed this, I'm not seeing any problem now either.
