I'm not sure how to diagnose this, but sometimes a window will be blocked from all keyboard input (form elements, the address bar don't work). Opening a new window (using the mouse as Ctrl-N doesn't work either) gets it working in the new one (closing and opening a new instance is NOT necessary), but the old window continues to fail.
