User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 Build ID: 20150210133606 Steps to reproduce: 1. Make a right mouse click and hold this button at any point on any site which would open a context menu. 2. Move over any active entry in the context menu and release the mouse button. Actual results: The context menu entry got activated. Expected results: The mouse release shouldn't have activated the context menu entry (in case the mouse got moved by accident too fast between the mouse click and the mouse release).
I don't think this is an issue in Firefox. Does the same problem happen in other applications? If you are on Linux this might be the GTK toolkit instead...

Yes, I'm seeing this also in other applications. I have now opened a bug report for this on the GTK+ tracker: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=745016
