it appears we didn't get any alerts generated for ts,paint as it crept up slowly over the last 3 weeks: http://graphs.mozilla.org/graph.html#tests=[[315,52,31],[315,63,31]]&sel=none&displayrange=30&datatype=geo We see this on the aurora uplift: http://alertmanager.allizom.org:8080/alerts.html?rev=f531d838c055&showAll=1&testIndex=0&platIndex=0# This happens often enough, but this is too hard to track down, I think we should document that this has become worse and plan to focus on fixing this in a future timeline. I have tried to retrigger jobs around Feb 11th on inbound: https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=mozilla-inbound&filter-searchStr=Windows 8 64-bit mozilla-inbound talos other_nol64&fromchange=5d69960fc738&tochange=4d68750b4e28 I suspect there is another small slow creep after Feb 11th, but if we can identify part of this it would be nice.

ok, moving back to feb 10th, here is the range with some retriggers: https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=mozilla-inbound&filter-searchStr=Windows 8 64-bit mozilla-inbound talos other_nol64&fromchange=9733e78176b2&tochange=3fe8d7d7f9f7

narrowed the range: https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=mozilla-inbound&filter-searchStr=Windows 8 64-bit mozilla-inbound talos other_nol64&fromchange=ce051d575b45&tochange=2d8dde5faef9 it appears that either the uplift from: https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/pushloghtml?changeset=ee093ca70666 or bug 1128490: https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/pushloghtml?changeset=7152dc5221cb is the root cause, i am leaning towards the change from bug 1128490 as there are more data points > 665 in the 10 we have. :avih, can you weigh in here?

I can't help with pinpointing the offending push - if there is such one. IMO if we can detect the offending push, then we should ask the owner about it, and if we can't - let it be. It's quite small and possibly creeping regression anyway, so there might not be much we can do about it IMO.

this appears on beta, but mostly for winxp, no alerts for win7/8: http://graphs.mozilla.org/graph.html#tests=[[315,53,37],[315,52,37]]&sel=1423519087992.826,1428067435963,393.44262295081967,600&displayrange=90&datatype=geo
Summary: 3.5% Win7/8 Session Restore no Auto restore regression on Aurora (v.38) from uplift → 5.31% WinXP Session Restore no Auto restore regression on Beta (v.38) from uplift
