Now that we have the addon converter most of the information that is redundant can be obsoleted and replaced by a link to http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=2834855 . The first post in that thread has a list of what works and what doesn't work.
With fix for " Bug 1138366 - 2.33 Release notes: Link to obsolete "Addon Compatibility" Wiki page should be dropped" priority for this one has decresed. Such a static list is rather "old school", I wonder if someone has an Idea for a small database and Search Enginge what would be able to able to find in Results in Mozilla repository + external sources, consider tags, Test results for particular Versions and OS and so on.
Sure, but where are we going to find developer resources to do all that and more?
Crowdsourcing is the only possibility, of course that can not be done by developers. We discussed that on de.comm.software.mozilla.misc under "Addon Kompatibilitaet", but there was no interest. I will try agan there and at other user-pick-up points from time to time. I think such a work would not be necessary with SM-compatible "Add-on Compatibility Reporter" <https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/?src=api>
