I've got a number of ScriptTimeoutExceptions on mozilla-inbound that have the hallmarks of a process crash that's not being caught by the harness, i.e. https://treeherder.mozilla.org/logviewer.html#?job_id=7099356&repo=mozilla-inbound I suspect I know what caused the underlying crashes here (and believe it to be already backed out), but there's still the harness problem of these not being properly caught.
The patch for bug 1038868 improves crash detection and reporting for the Marionette test runner (specifically for device, but also for desktop). Unfortunately when it landed an existing crasher (bug 1090921) was highlighted that was previously (and currently) silently occurring, so the patch was backed out.
