RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1157941

People

Details

I wanted to give Firefox with e10s a try to help testing e10s, but there is one "major blocker". The content area flashes white after every (!) click on a link before the content is painted.

The first part of the following video shows Firefox with e10s enabled, the second part shows Firefox with e10s disabled:

It happens on every website. I tested with a clean Firefox profile without add-ons.
Summary: Content area flashes white before page rendering → [e10s] Content area flashes white before page rendering
Pretty sure this is a dupe of bug 1132072
Oh maybe not.
Well, let's see what happens after bug 1132072 lands.
Assignee: nobody → mconley
Assignee: mconley → gwright
Are you still able to reproduce this now that bug 1132072 has landed?
Flags: needinfo?(cadeyrn)
Yes, it's still an issue.
Flags: needinfo?(cadeyrn)
Needinfoing myself to determine whether this should stay in m7.
Flags: needinfo?(gwright)
OK, this is a dupe of bug 1157941, which I'll dupe this one off because it has STR in the report. I think we need to talk to layout to get a better idea of what's going on here.
