firefox steals the system RAM in Mac Yosemite OS

Steps to reproduce:

Open the browser and start using it. 

Actual results:

Eventually the RAM of my system gets filled up.

Expected results:

Atleast the browser should be restircted to use certain amount of space or it should release the free space
OS: Windows 7 → Other
Hardware: x86 → Other
Whiteboard: I'm using Mac Yosemite OS on my 2011 model MBP, 4GB RAM
Version: 34 Branch → 35 Branch

Please, update your browser to the latest version (FF36) and if you hit this issue again, save and attach a memory report from the page about:memory.

Be sure it's reproducible in safe mode ( or with a fresh profile ( because add-ons might be faulty.

Will update the FF36 and try to run it in safe mode as you suggested. Please bear with my next response.
