Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:36.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/36.0 Build ID: 20150305021524 Steps to reproduce: Enter anything in address bar, press Enter or press the arrow button with a mouse. Actual results: Nothing happens. Expected results: Opening URL / searching. First encountered the bug when I tried FF 32, I think it was beta or 32.0. Then I installed 31 ESR and it worked fine. Now tried 36.0.1 and it's still there. Google box in the new tab page works fine. The new tab page itself shrunk to 4x3, eventhough I had it set to 4x4 grid.
When starting in safe mode the bug doesn't occur.
Safe Mode disables extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems. It does not disable plugins which are add-ons. So it looks like you have to track down which broken extension or theme is creating this problem.
