Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:0.9.6) Gecko/20011120
BuildID: 2001112011
I think this is how it's supposed to work, at least it seems like it
used to this way with the clicking and all:
you type search terms into the URL box at the top of the window, and
the drop down menu says something like 'Search Google for "stuff"'.
Then you clicked on the drop down part and it did the search in the
engine with those terms. But as of this or the last milestone build,
that click isn't being accepted, so the type-in-to-search
functionality is kinda useless.
I'm pretty sure I have the search prefs all set up correctly.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. type terms that aren't a domain name in URL box
2. see search drop down, try to click on search drop down
3. see that it just doesn't like you
Actual Results: not much
Expected Results: taken those fine terms and sent them off to the search engine
listed,
to return back with a page of even finer results.
Confirmed using Mac/2001112011 (0.9.6). The Search entry isn't focusing during
mouseOver as it used to, so unless the user tabs to it, clicks on it aren't
registering.
Reducing Severity to Minor since the workaround is to tab to the Search entry.
