I guess this is Firefox OS related, which I don't use. Firefox should only make the directory if the feature that requires it is used.
WebIDE does use ADB (an Android tool) to connect to some devices. However, using ADB functions in WebIDE does not appear to create this directory for me.

Are you able to determine more precisely which steps caused the directory to appear for you?

I just need to start Firefox. When the directory is deleted, Firefox makes it anew on next start.

$ ls .android/
adbkey  adbkey.pub

This is Firefox from official Ubuntu repositories to maybe they made some changes to it.

I've figured out that this is caused by the enabled-by-default extension "ADB Helper". I'm not sure what its purpose is when I never use WebIDE of Firefox OS, so I just disabled it, and Firefox stopped making this directory.
The extension doesn't seem to be included in latest releases – I cannot reproduce in any case.
