From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.6+) Gecko/20011210 BuildID: 2001121008 The latest daily builds are hanging when connecting to a webedge webserver (a proprierary webserver from Openwave). The content of the file requested can be anything. http://im9-s.oke.online.no/crash only contains the string "empty". Mozilla 0.95 has no problems. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Point the browser to im9-s.oke.online.no/crash (or any other webedge server, for instance http://webmail.openwave.com 2. Observe browser hanging. Actual Results: Browser hangs Expected Results: Render a page Don't know if this is relevant: Client Os: $ uname -a Linux shanes 2.4.2-2 #1 Sun Apr 8 20:41:30 EDT 2001 i686 unknown $ rpm -q gnome-core gnome-core-1.4.0.4-ximian.5
Build ID: 2001 12 10 03. Windows 2000. However, Mozilla hangs sucking 100% CPU.
Ok, this happens in nsresult nsICODecoder::ProcessData. it is getting called with aBuffer contining the suspicious looking data "not found" + line noise It then moves some data around until toCopy becomes 0 at which point it vibrates happily shuffling electrons till doomsday.
