confirming bug. I didn't see this untill i changed to classic today. After changing back to modern again, the bug was visible there too.

Bug only visible in alternate three-pane. (1+2) Some flex error? When mailnews start with sidebar turned off, the blue empty area below folderpane has the size of an uncollapsed sidebar. Even when sidebar IS turned on, but should open collapsed, the problem is party visible - the sidebar opens full size then collapses on it's own.

It is Mozilla build only, I work on this later.
Updating multiple bugs. This is a valid UI issue. Would be nice to have it fixed if time allows.
cc'ing nbaca. This bug sounds really familiar. Is this a dup? I can't find it if it is.
Target Milestone: --- → mozilla1.2
Seems this is fixed. WFM testing with a linux cvs build. (Bug 116804 was about the same and is WFM now)
I'm no longer seeing this problem either! Not sure what fixed it but it's now fixed
