If you link to a Windows wmv file which invokes the plug-in for WMP 7.1, the video plays fine. But, then you can't exit the WMP. Must exit Mozilla to exit WMP Try this: http://www.ridersite.org/JFK50/MultiMediaArchive.htm
This works fine here. 2001-12-12-03 under W2K. Are you using the plugin/page link or the direct link to the file? I used the direct link (I don't have the plugin). Also, please always state your build ID in your bug reports.
Summary: Can't exit WMP → Can't exit Windows Media Player after playing a movie

Additional info: Original report used build 20011210 Just installed 20011213.......... Same bug Reinstalled WMP 7.1....... Same bug Selecting same file locally on HD...... Same bug
Hi Al, can you please try this again with 1.0RC1 or a nightly build ? Thanks !
Same as always, locks up Media Player if you stop the play or try to exit the player. Build 2002041711. Note, the link to my test page has changed it is now: www.ridersite.org/jfk50/MultiMediaArchive.htm Only the "JFK" changed to lower-case. New host is case sensitive.
