Hi,
User sentiment report showed that users can't save images from Facebook on their devices. I could reproduce this on my Flame device with 2.0.
The interesting part is users can save images from Facebook using Firefox browser on FxOS by long pressing the image.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Facebook app on a Flame device
2. Find a photo posted by a friend and click on the photo
3. Scroll down and click on "View full screen"
4. When the image load full screen long press the image
Result:
Nothing happens
Expected result:
A menu screen with "Save Image" and "Cancel" buttons shows up.
Repeat by launching a Firefox browser on a Flame device and go to m.facebook.com and log in to your account, and then follow the same steps:
2. Find a photo posted by a friend and click on the photo
3. Scroll down and click on "View full screen"
4. When the image load full screen long press the image
Result:
A menu screen with "Save Image" and "Cancel" buttons shows up.
So it looks like there is a difference between what the browser and the app allows although it is the same m.facebook.com site.
Could you help find out the root cause?

Tested the save photo functionality of 1.3, 2.0, & 2.1. Long-pressing the photo did not open the "save image" option in 1.3 or 2.0, but did work as expected on 2.1.
@Harald - Any idea what might be going on here?

Does saving images work in any other app on 2.0? Sounds like saving images for apps only landed in 2.0.

Yes, In 2.0 & 1.3 the user can conduct an image search for their favorite subject matter (puppies, in this case) and long-press the photo to save locally to gallery.
@ Harald - with this in mind, do you have any thoughts on the bug?

It sounds like you describe the browser. What about apps, like Pinterest or Bing?

I stand corrected. Long-press to save image works in browser for 1.3 & 2.0, but not in apps (tested w/ Bing search, Pinterest, Wikipedia, & Line)
