I primarily use FF Dev, so I didn't notice this issue earlier on FF. Now that Yahoo is our partner, I decided to switch my default search from Google to Yahoo so I can watch new features roll out. On FF (beta channel), I had previously removed all the search options that I didn't use regularly. Probably a couple of years ago. Today on FF 37, I was not able to add Yahoo. Steps to reproduce: 1 - run FF pre-Yahoo partnership 2 - remove installed search options 3 - update to FF 37 4 - Select "Change Search Settings" in search bar drop-down 5 - Select "Add more search engines..." 6 - Browse options at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?atype=4 7 - Search for "Yahoo" and browse options I might be able to select "Restore Default Search Engines" on step 5, but would lose my other custom searches. There might not be many people with this issue, but I figured it might be important given the partnership.

That button only restores the defaults, it doesn't remove additional engines that you added. It's the only way to properly restore default engines right now.

To clarify, Yahoo is not available as an option to add. That's my concern, not how options get added or removed. bug 353056 seems to be about functionality, not the availability of a search service.
