I'm moving bookmarks from the main area into folders.  The folders are colapsed.
 If they are colapsed, when you drag a bookmark onto the folder and don't wait
for it to expand, the bookmarks go into the bookmark folder above the one you
are hovering over.  This seemes to happen if you are dragging from bottom to
top?  Sometimes it also seems to put the bookmark outside the folder, but just
under it (dragging from top to bottom?).  And if you keep playing with it,
sometimes it just deletes the bookmark altogether.
