The image parsing between reader view and reading mode seems to be different, which leads to weird results. STR: - Go to http://derstandard.at/2000013700377/Surface-3-Microsoft-stellt-neues-Windows-Tablet-vor - Add the article to the reading list using the control in the location bar - An image appears in the reading list sidebar - Remove the article from the reading list - Switch to reader view - Add it to reading list - No image is shown It would be great scrape images from the original page if none is found in reader view.
Jared, was this fixed by bug 1146773?

Or maybe this is a dupe of/related to bug 1146348?
This wasn't fixed by bug 1146773 and I don't expect it to be fixed by bug 1146348. When I load that article in reader mode, no images are shown. The markup also doesn't show any 'img' tags. Bug 1146348 is about getting a better algorithm to use for finding the best image from an article, but we use the images currently in the DOM to find them. Since reader mode isn't showing any images for this article, we have none to pick from. I'd say that this bug is about having no images when in reader view.
