Steps to reproduce:

Skia graphics engine is much faster and responsive than the default 'cg' Azure option on MacosX. Please make Skia default on Mac releases.
For canvas? We're currently doing that in bug 932958.
There are no concrete plans to make Skia the default for regular content rendering.
